Course Description:
This course focuses on the multiple roles of the director in modern theatre including artist, organizer, philosopher, manager, and social commentator. Students enrolled in this course will learn the various techniques and processes employed by directors throughout the staging of a production. Through discussion students will develop self-assessment tools and consider ethical issues facing theatre directors today.
