Visually Based Design and Multimedia for the Theatre

Course Description:

Students will begin the course by examining differences in design methodology between visually based and traditional design as it applies to theatrical and special events. Students will create theoretical designs utilizing the techniques and methodologies discovered in class.

Required Texts:

There is no text book for this class. Students will be required to purchase a sketch pad/ visual journal as well as artist quality illustration materials (ie. Colored pencils, watercolors, or pastels—NOT Crayola crayons.) Students will also need a USB jump/thumb drive dedicated to this class.
